MIPP and MAGP Optional Interviews

MIPP and MAGP Optional Interview Overview

Optional virtual interviews are available for mid-career applicants pursuing either the MIPP or MAGP programs in Washington, DC. The admissions interview is a great opportunity to let the admissions committee learn more about your background and how SAIS aligns with your academic interests and career goals.

    Interview Format

The optional interviews are conducted by current Johns Hopkins graduate students and serve to be both evaluative and informational. This gives applicants an opportunity to demonstrate their intellectual curiosity, their interests, and provide a glimpse of how they will “fit” in the SAIS community.

The session will be approximately 30 minutes in length and begin with questions regarding your academic and professional background, as well as your interest in Johns Hopkins SAIS. The current student conducting your interview will have reviewed your resume in advance, so please prepare accordingly. The remaining time will be reserved for applicants to ask questions about Johns Hopkins SAIS and the student experience.
