Mid-Career Master's Degrees Virtual Information Session

Friday, December 3, 2021 at 12:30 PM until 1:30 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

The Office of Admissions invites you to learn more about our two degree programs for experienced professionals, the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) and the Master of Arts in Global Policy (MAGP) degree by joining an online information session. A current student or recent graduate and Admissions staff will be present to answer your questions about the admissions process, the student experience and the impact your Johns Hopkins SAIS education could have on the world.

The MIPP is designed for experienced professionals with seven or more years of relevant work experience, who wish to develop the advanced analytical and leadership skills necessary to formulate and advocate policy on key international issues. Students have the advantage of designing their own curriculum consisting of eight non-language courses (worth a total of 32 credits). They may choose a wide-range of courses across multiple fields or focus on one functional or regional area to gain in-depth insight into a specific field of study. Students complete the program full-time in one academic year or part-time over the course of two years.

The MAGP is similarly designed for experienced professionals with relevant work experience, who wish to pursue their studies on a part-time basis. It is a 16-month, cohort-based program with classes meeting on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. The curriculum includes four residencies offered at key points of the program to maximize learning. The MAGP curriculum enables students to immediately integrate the knowledge they gain in the classroom to their internationally-focused careers.

Neither program is available virtually. They are both on-campus degree programs.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
