NR Dimensions of Nursing - Black Maternal Health

Monday, February 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is committed to highlighting the experiences, research, and practice of various identities belonging to our nursing community. It is a priority for us to amplify the voices belonging to underrepresented communities while providing equitable and accessible opportunities for education and healthcare within our Nursing programs.

This month we are discussing Black Maternal Health and the significantly higher risk Black women face during pregnancy and childbirth. For this discussion Laura Panozzo, Associate Director of Admissions, will facilitate a discussion with current faculty at the School of Nursing who play a vital role in addressing these inequities through compassionate clinical care, research, advocacy, and community partnership.
