Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants may only apply for 1 fee waiver per application cycle and they are only available only to cover the primary application fee within the SOPHAS system; secondary application fee waivers are not available.
Applcation Fee Waivers are available for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents who meet one of the eligibility requirements listed below.
Applicants are eligible for an application fee waiver for:
Documented financial hardship
Financial hardship is defined as earning less 225% the poverty level based on your household size or Pell Grant Eligibility. Documentation may include a financial award letter from the college you currently attend or a copy of FAFSA or Student Aid Report (SAR). Please redact all social security numbers and individual taxpayer identification numbers from the documentation before submitting

U.S. Military service
Eligibility for Vivien Thomas Scholars Initiative (VTS) and application ready for submission to a BSPH VTSI-eligible PhD program
Current enrollment as a Johns Hopkins University undergraduate student
