The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) Admissions Office will host office hours specifically for prospective students for our graduate programs for mid-career professionals, the Master of Arts in Global Policy (MAGP), the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP), and the Doctor of International Affairs (DIA).

The MAGP is a sixteen-month degree designed to give experienced professionals with at least seven years of work experience a competitive edge in their careers. The MAGP offers a convenient, alternating-weekend (Friday/Saturday) schedule that enables students to participate in a rigorous academic program and maintain full-time employment. Students move through the program as a cohort and develop strong professional connections with accomplished and diverse colleagues.

The MIPP is a full-time program completed over two semesters, or part-time completed over four semesters, and is designed to give experienced professionals with at least seven years of work experience a real-time, competitive edge in their careers. The program is fully customizable enabling students to essentially choose any eight of the nearly 300 courses offered at SAIS to fulfill the 32 credit hours required for the degree. Students may choose to add an affiliation with one of the 19 academic programs offered at SAIS to focus on a specific region of the world or in a functional area.

The DIA is a practitioner’s doctorate, ideal for experienced professionals with at least five years of full-time work experience who seek to further their expertise through an advanced research degree in an accelerated timeframe. Advanced standing is available for students who possess a relevant master’s degree allowing the program to be completed in as little as two years full-time, or three years part-time. A three-year, full-time track is available for those who have not completed a prior, relevant master’s degree.

During open office hours, prospective MAGP, MIPP, and DIA students are welcome to visit the SAIS campus and meet with the Director of Executive Education Recruitment and Outreach.
